After thirty years of being an employee the time seemed right to strike out on my own. Knowledge gained over a long career in the sciences and experience in electronics design and manufacturing will form the foundation of this new adventure.
The name Semiplane comes from two of my loves, Semiconductor electronics and Plane from aviation. My husband and I are both commercial multiengine instrument rated pilots and enjoy using our aircraft for business and pleasure. The setting sun is from the window of our Wittman Tailwind experimental aircraft.
Although the main focus of my career has been design engineering that is relevant to the laboratory setting. I can't help myself from dreaming up product ideas and improvements to our aircraft.
Starting out, the plan is to provide electronics to specifically support Microchannel plate based time of flight detectors.
